India’s largest private sector bank, HDFC Bank, has once again reduced its Fixed Deposit (FD) and Savings Account interest rates in June. This is the second time the bank has trimmed rates this month. The decision follows the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) cutting the repo rate by 50 basis points, from 6% to 5.5%.
📅 New Rates Effective from June 25, 2025
As per the official announcement from HDFC Bank, the revised interest rates came into effect on June 25, 2025. It’s worth noting that the bank had already lowered FD rates once earlier on June 10, 2025.
📉 What Are the New FD Rates?
For regular customers, the interest rate on FDs with a tenure of less than 15 months and more than 18 months has been reduced from 6.60% to 6.35%.
For senior citizens, the rate for the same duration has been cut from 7.10% to 6.85%.
